    Suitable For

For those who enjoy museums, monasteries, and learning experiences, who prefer quiet, meaningful, and cultural routes, and who wish to visit UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Patmos Island, one of the holiest centers of the Apocalyptic tradition in Christian history, captivates visitors with its unique atmosphere from the very first moment. The postcard-perfect Skala Harbor and the magnificent Monastery of St. John the Theologian rising above the harbor form the island's characteristic silhouette.

After leaving Skala Harbor, our journey begins towards Chora Village, which reflects the spirit of the island. Rising above the whitewashed houses, St. John's Monastery dominates the landscape with its dark, imposing structure.

The monastery is surrounded by high, thick walls and houses eight separate chapels. Its courtyard, paved with pebbles, and its architecture, decorated with arches, are striking. Through these arches, you can see the elegant frescoes decorating the chapel entrances.
The museum within the monastery displays sacred chalices, crowns, and crosses decorated with precious stones. Among the manuscripts, icons, and religious paintings dating back to 1073, there is also an original work by the famous painter El Greco. Some important works from the monastery library, which is not open to the public, can also be seen in the museum section.

The next stop on our tour is the monastery built around the cave where St. John is believed to have written the Book of Revelation in the 17th century. Visitors can see the rock believed to be the stone where St. John rested his head in this sacred cave, where he lived for two years between 95–97 AD. This area is considered one of Patmos' most important religious and historical centers.

After this profound and impressive visit, you will be transferred back to the port.

At the end of the tour, you will have free time to explore Patmos.

Pricing and included services will be available soon.
